Journals…drawing…ideas…inspiration

Evening, Honfleur Georges-Pierre Seurat Georges-Pierre Seurat. (French, 1859-1891). Evening, Honfleur. 1886

I have been caught several times in different settings wishing I had a blank journal to jot down a sketch…or some words.  This is a must do on my list.  I write each day in my journal by my bedside, but have neglected a blank journal to draw.  I am not a trained “sketcher” in any way…I just hope to get a few lines down to remember an image, place, and time.

Another inspiration came to me as I looked through the sketch journal of George Serat.  His works are at the MOMA and this link gives you a wonderful glimse into his life and work.
