Dream-White Smoke to Birds

The other night I dreamed of a woman and all around her was white smoke.  This began to grow higher and higher, turning into doves. The doves then began to fall to the ground, gently, turning into origami (paper) doves.  These were then scattered around the floor.

There is much hope and feminity in this dream.  It was a BIG dream…the smoke and birds came right to me and over me and around me.  Still working on this image, as there is still more from this dream I would like to caputre.

What did you dream last night?

Ideas on Visualization Presentation

Book idea…Ish by Peter Reynolds…dreams and drawing…keep them alive.

I have presented with k-12 arts (all disciplines) educators.  I have taught primarily in elementary…this is where my strength lies.  Listed below are some of the workshops/techniques I have used over the years to support creativity.

I have used this technique, Thinking with a Line by Cathy Topal, with early childhood and elementary educators and children.  Can be modified for all ages.   Great to take away the anxiety of “…but I just can’t draw”.
Here are some pics from past workshops:

This also lends itself to exploration of pattern and music (rhythm).

Continuing/connecting with this, using line to create movement  with our bodies/as dance….have done this with great success…but no photos…as the participants will not allow;)

Most of the books I would recommend are around the idea of “creativity” and habits of creativity:  http://astore.amazon.com/organsweblo-20?node=1&page=2  Not sure if they would be the best fit for this workshop, but open to explore…what are your ideas thus far?

Photography…?  A great way to observe and/or keep a visual journal:

Dream-Wooden Boat-Big Wave

Dream of a wooden boat…carrying my husband..and a huge wave.

Saw a Bald Eagle Today

Took a walk on the beach today.  I heard a lot of crows calling out in the tree tops on the dunes, so stopped to look.  As I looked up, I saw a HUGE bird sitting in the branches of a tree.

I could see its beak and thought it was a bald eagle…and since it was all brown (with some white) I believed it to be a juvenile.

Amazing!

Then, it looked out toward the lake and flew right over my head.

Great omen…great day….

In DC!

The sun came out for a bit…took a beautiful walk in DC:)

Spring

The forsithia is blooming a vibrant yellow.  Brought some of that sunshine into the house.

I’ll meet you there…

Out beyond ideas of wrong-doing and right-doing
There is a field
I’ll meet you there.

When the soul lies down in that grass
The world is too full to talk about.—Rumi

I love you.
