What a wonderful experience to share in the wrecking/creating with others!

Since beginning this blog a few years ago, I have been thinking about where I started and where I am now. I have been reflecting quite a bit about how I journey from place to place.  Who has been there to guide me? 

I thought I would get back to dedicating posts to those individuals who have been inspirational to me…and continue to be.

Today, I want to thank Barb Desmarais, aka Coach Barb.  Barb is a wonderful  support for families.  She has parenting tips that gently guide and truly inspire.

Barb has been gracious over the years in her support to share in my growth as I explore the world of creativity.  She listens and lends her wisdon to questions I have.  She has supported me by posting articles I have written and I have found that to be such a beatiful way to allow me to see my own potential.

I am really discovering that my motivation comes from staying positive.  The trick is, how to stay positive.

The trick…how I see it:
1.  Let negative thoughts float through and move on
2.  Set small goals
3. Stay flexible
4. Follow through on goals
5.  Share with others
6. Mini-celebration:) 

It takes time.  It takes patience.  It takes dreaming.

Then work.

Burning journals with magnifying glasses! Capturing the sun! Here is what is left! Going to burn it until it is all gone!

My sons have their own journals…they used magnifying glasses to burn their pages! Saw Mom use matches…they started with that…but thought magnifyers would be fun to try! Have you shared your “journal wrecking” experience with others? I know some of you have written about doing just that!

Thinking quite a bit about what I say “yes” to and what I say “no” to.  I na  recent dream I was being chastised by a woman professor.  Was I up to the challenge of the class?  She did not think I could do the work, so left me out of the discussions.  In the dream, I left the class and went out a locked door…to the outside filled with trees and rain.

This dream was pulling together many of my thoughts from over the last few years.  When to speak up, when to walk away…when to say yes, when to say no….when to work and when to play.

I colored in the mandala (above) in shades that represent the dualities I continue to experience.  Still in the process…yet seeing some “trees through the rain”.
