Music in colors and lines

scribbles1.jpg

Listen to some music today.  While listening, get out your favorite media…crayons, paints, pencils…whatever you like.  As you give yourself 20 minutes alone to listen, create what you see using lines and colors.

What lines showed up in your work?  What colors?  Did the colors resemble the music?  How so?

  1. I ended up making a mandala, mostly in purples, reds and blacks. So much for my day, though I usually love listening to Bolero.

  2. Beautiful:) Would love to know what those colors mean to you…?

Great way to enjoy the day!

  4. Hi Manuel,
What a wonderful life you have! It is so beautiful to create art experiences with our children. I see such a relationship between music and painting. The soul is opened and the vision can be put onto the canvas in color, lines and shapes.
    Thank you for your post.
    Susan
