My dog in the snow

han

Walking today with my dog…well, the family dog:)  It always amazes me how energetic she gets to go out for a walk in the snow.  Just when I am at my wits end with the winter snow and snow days…her energy and love for the wonder of snow reminds me to slow down and take a look around.

It is good to have animals around to keep us close to the earth.

  1. I agree. Living without animals is inconceivable to me. It is such an honor to be able to share your life with another species.

  2. Thanks for the comment, Debra:) Good to hear from you!

  3. Thank you for your responding to my blog. I am delighted to see what you have created. Working with hair is a type of communication, it’s visual and yet and involves my finger tips, and my intuition. Cutting, styling and coloring hair is a give and take, it is all about finding the limitations of where it will go and what it will do, and guiding it. It’s a dance!

My connection to words is similar in that it comes from the intuition, and it requires massaging until the jewel shines through, the message that will connect me to others. To be able to come out of the vortex and say, “Ah, yes, this is it.”

What I find true about both worlds is that they are connected in that it requires diligence and challenging myself to go deeper, and not fall upon what is familiar. Both take an insane amount of practice to make it seem effortless.

Thank you for your musings. And I will look forward to more.

The picture of your dog is beautiful, serene.
