Bringing Mark Chatterley in this fall  for a teacher workshop at West Ottawa High School http://collaborate.oaisd.org/index.php?&action=site&site=wo_hsart was a wonderful experience.  There were about 15 teachers all working with clay and having time to connect creatively.

Mark took us all on a journey through his artistic process.  We took pictures, placed them in a journal, ran ink over them, and looked for the images within.  Mark also took us on a journey in our minds through creative visualization.  We then proceeded into the studio to flatten clay and create hollow 3D pieces in the style of Mark Chatterley.

Here is a video of some of Mark’s works:

It was a joy to be with artists and see each individual discover his/her creative time and space.  Ideas were shared, discussions happened throughout the creative process and the final sculputures expressed each individuals ideas and dreams.
