Typewriter Joy

My son found an old typewriter in the garage at our cottage. It was left there by the man who built the cottage back in the 1950s.  The typewriter seems even older than that!  It is an Erika typewriter…doing some reasearch on this.

My son said, “I have been looking to have a typewriter forever!”

All week we recieved type written messages.  What a joy!

  1. It’s a joy just to see an old typer! Treat it well, give it a place of honor in your house. (I know where you can get carbon paper to send all your friends the same letter!)

  2. Oh, that is so cool. I’ve been craving an old typewriter for a while. My first ‘zines were all done on an old selectric with lots of cutting and pasting. …those were the days!

  3. Hi Quinn…yes, the typewriter is now in my son’s room…prime spot!

Tracey, I had an Olivetti and was soooo amazed that if I made a mistake, I could backspace and erase!
