Not “S is for Susan who perished of fits” 🙂 Amazing that this book was published in 1962. I remember being so “done in” by this book, I hid it under my bed and pulled it out at the weirdest moments – just for the thrill.

I would love to perish from fits:) My family can attest to those…hee hee…
But the word ennui fascinates me…much more meloncholy…
Yes, even putting this on my blog I have had some reservations…what in the world is the attraction???? But…the idea of death and dying is always around…and fascinating as well.

Disturbing yet cute. I never thought those two words would go together so well when describing something.
Thanks for sharing – I read the whole book. I’ve never seen it! I may have to purchase……

I used to have a poster with the entire Gashlycrumb Tinies alphabet hanging in my apartment in Chicago.
